Abstract submissions

Authors are invited to submit an abstract of at most 2000 characters (spaces included) by January 30th, 2017 February 13th, 2017 (extended deadline). The abstracts should be written in English.

In consideration of a special issue of Journal of Quantitative Analysis in Sports (JQAS), we are still accepting abstracts for presentation only at the conference: accepted abstracts will allow submitting a paper to the special issue of JQAS. If you are interested to submit an abstract, please send it until April 24th (notification of abstract acceptance by May 2nd).

Abstracts must be submitted through the EasyChair website: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=mathsport2017. You will first need to create an EasyChair account, if you do not already have one.

Authors will be notified of acceptance by February 24th, 2017 March 3rd, 2017 (May 2nd, 2017 for abstract submitted in view of the special issue of JQAS).

Proceedings Paper submissions

(for authors of abstracts accepted before March 4th, 2017)

Authors of abstracts accepted before March 4th are encouraged to submit their paper for the Conference Proceedings (even if it is work in progress): paper submission is open until 24 April 2017 03 May 2017 (extended deadline). Padova University Press will distribute the book of accepted proceedings (in digital form in a USB pen drive with ISBN) to all participants.

Proceedings Papers submission is now open upon notification of abstract acceptance. Authors of accepted abstracts willing to submit a paper must follow the steps below:

1. Prepare the paper according to one of the templates at Mathsport2017 Proceeding Papers Templates. Templates for ".tex", ".doc", ".docx" and ".odt" formats are available. Papers should be max 10 pages long.
2. Export the paper in ".pdf" format (only ".pdf" files will be accepted).
3. Access your submission page through the EasyChair website: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=mathsport2017.
4. Follow the link "Information" of your submission, and then the link "Add file" (top-right).

Special issue

A special issue of Journal of Quantitative Analysis in Sports (http://www.degruyter.com/view/j/jqas) will be devoted to papers from MathSport International 2017, containing work beyond that published in the conference proceedings.
The guest editors are Marco Ferrante, Dries Goossens, Francesco Lisi and Frits Spieksma. Papers submitted to JQAS will go through the normal peer review process. Details to follow.
